Aging can be difficult if you let it. Thank God I’m still young enough to make decisions.

Prior to today I was taking advantage of saying I was 40 something, and conveniently shaving off the last digit. That worked for 9 years. 
But life marches on. Isn’t it interesting how some of us fight to keep control of so many things, and actually succeed with most, but the one thing that keeps going without our control is time? God ultimately wins with that.

But in a way, we do have some control on time and aging – accept it and perhaps even find some humor in it. Here are a few things I’m laughing about today:
You know you’re getting older when…
Everything that works hurts, and what doesn’t hurt doesn’t work.
You feel like the morning after, and you haven’t been anywhere.
Your little black book only contains names ending in M.D.
Your children are beginning to look middle-aged.
Your mind makes contracts your body can’t keep.
You look forward to a dull evening.
Your knees buckle and your belt won’t.
Your back goes out more than you do.
You sink your teeth into a steak, and they stay there.
You know all the answers, but nobody asks the questions.
So, today as I’m turning fifty, you won’t get any advice from me about health or wellness. My book Whole Health Healing: The Budget Friendly Natural Wellness Bible for All Ages can tell you those things. Today, I’m too busy trying to laugh. Here are a few pictures of me in my younger days. Don’t laugh too hard! 
By the way, I don’t feel a day over 49.
